These beautiful lands of Tourin hadn't always been so vibrant and lush, no, not at all. Many decades ago it was the complete opposite, chaos and mayhem running wild. Fear filled the eyes of many as the "plague" ravished the land around them. Leaving blood stained battle grounds behind it as it travelled closer and closer. Many wolves had tried to fight back, many failed but finally a group of strong warriors were thought to have exterminated this "plague".
Life after the massacre was, to say the least, hard and almost unbearable. Many claiming to see the souls of lost brothern wandering the empty forests, unable to fully pass on. But the remaining wolves held strong and re-built their society as best as possible. Tourin finally cleansing itself of the bloody war that had broken out unexpectedly. This occurance has fizzled out as the generations forgot to remember and the new generations grew up with no fears. But is this a good thing, to fear nothing?

{What is purity but insanity?}
She hadn't done anything wrong at all her comrades would always say but was it truly fact or fiction, she was sure it was fiction to ease her mind but it was a lie nonetheless. But then what was fiction but a maddening comparison of reality, a lie that was used to persuade and twist the thoughts of an innocent into that of pure deceit. But in all the lies and fantasies whispered, was there an inkling of truth? A mere shard of reality wedged into the facade of all others begging to be released into the burning light of judgment, to be watched and thrown aside as everyone knows, reality hurts. But that was what she usually carried with her, reality, she refused to go down on such a level and stave over those sweet lies torn from wolven lips just so she could live in fantasy. She was the former commander of the Elite Guards, no lies would go in her mind and corrupt her soul as all others had, as she had done once in her young naive age. A sigh escaped her maw, what had happened to her? She was no longer anything at all, just a fallen feather lost in flurry, left by the whispers of time. She shook her head before taking a few steps forward, wings twitching ever so slightly as the moon finally made her glorious appearance. Lucifer had always admired the night, its whispering tales and secret as well as how calm and peaceful it was. How in the night she could creep away into her realm of reality and not what the fools in her old home thought.
The whispered murmurs crept into her ear as brother Wind whistled by, gently caressing her ashen silhouette as he went off into an errand of his or what not. Leaves rustled slightly as the Wind brushed past them and into nothing. A faint smile came upon her expression before fading into a somber look, there was nothing to be happy about especially about this after all she was a loner now....When did she wish to return? Hadn't she forced herself to leave all those cheering masses? Forced herself to depart from those awed glances and whispered praises, the absolute adoration of the common population. She shook her head, the purple insignia on her forehead and the infamous red points just under her eye accenting her calm orchid orbs. Right or wrong, her decision had no basis on those two, just plain fear. She cowered when entrusted the entire land under her edict, she fled all because she believed that she could do nothing more, fear to be corrupted from her angelic image. She mused to herself that she was already corrupted in so many ways, some more difficult to understand and accept.
The moon now rose her pale head, pale features glowing brightly beside her many children as they twinkled in the sky. Lucifer remembered a compliment offered by officer Hysteria, she told her that once the moon watched her, she looked like a true angel. 'An angel of death you must have meant, wings of dark and fur of light. Is there no greater terror?' She pondered before gliding forward, there was nothing to it in reality just the belief of a mortal to connect a figure she admired to that of divine. Another lie and deception. Another false whisper and murmur but then again the wolves she had served with thrived in it. They believed that she was infinite, there would be no failure no accidents and there were none but only because of the reality she used. Another sigh escaped her, she remembered all the brutes who wanted to take her as a mate after all she was absolutely perfect. A lithe chassis with just the right feminine curves, perfect wings that covered the sky as they were stretched to full....A shallow lot.
She neared the edge of the terrain, it was a perfect place to fly and to die. It would be far too easy to leap into abyss below without opening her wings and slowly letting death take her yet it was so tempting to let her wings stretch open to fly to safety just as she almost crashed into the deep pond below. She didn't know where the sudden urge to just die came from though it was far from what her rational mind howled at her. They refused to release their powerful grip on her emotions and instincts but then again it was her who created such a defense. Another urge worked its way up and this time it was acceptable and surrendered herself to it. She sang with such a voice, her howl was as loud as any alpha's cry and her voice held its silken soft quality near. She must have been such a sight, pale white fur donned on such a feminine figure on a cliff with dark wings folded to her side while a pale blue stripe wormed its way from her nose till her tail. Such a quaint sight she must have been even to the delirious.

Rayne had no gait, why would such a magnificent creature need a gait? He soared above those less fortunate, barreling through the ever so fluffy clouds that hung aimlessly in the light blue sky. His sparkeling blue-green eyes scanned the area below him, hoping to find something worthy of his attention. He rarely found these said things, usually just a shinning gem or even the reflection of a body of water. He was nothing short of what others percieved of his species.
Vain Rayne, his commonly used nickname from his home pack but his nickname never bothered him much. He didn't mind being beautiful, he actually enjoyed it, a lttle too much. A smile grazed his muzzle as he gaze drifted over his jewels that laid ever so nicely upon his frame. Their illuminating light his security blanket in the dark nights.
Yet just as he was about to turn round and head back he spotted a white frame against the sandy ground. Another michevious grin laid across his muzzle as he swooped down for a closer look. He landed quite gracefully and quickly laid his ruffled wings to his side. "What might you be doing here...?" he questioned in his smart ass tone. His tail hanging in a more of a dominant position than anything else.

{Who are you to disturb me?}
A sigh escaped her as it seemed that all the training she went through, all the pain and hard work she endured just to become the commander of the Elite Guard was all for nothing. Nothing at all. Yes she did help some innocents return to safety but didn't she hurt some as well? Didn't she once befriended the ones she was ordered to eliminate, to remove everything about them even entire families? 'Remove every trace of them!' the order of the Royals still rang clear in her mind, destroy they said and she did murdering several wolves and pups just to sate her ruler's orders. She wondered if she would ever be free of the stain that made her soul as black as her wings yet from what she heard from fellow Guards, she was the purest of them all. Lucifer shook her head, she was the commander of course her could was as dark as hell. She told her fellow Ainions to attack, she could have refused but her oath made her continue...a fool's oath that she would never repeat again.
She turned around, her wings shifting by her sides as she turned to watch another of her kind land by nearby. He landed gracefully though it was more for showing off than anything else, strict rules in her old group made sure that when they landed it was with grace as well but it was more for purpose and striking fear than anything else. Fear....Was it so powerful to drive the former Royals to order the Elite Guards to murder so many? Was it strong enough to drive the common Ainion to rebel? For the former she was slightly suspicious of that but for the latter she would never know unless that would happen. She was taught to wield it with strength, to strike fear into her enemies but was this male an enemy? For one thing he was nothing to her in battle she suspected, she had fought and massacred packs of wolves with a small team and sometimes alone. To fight this male would be nothing, just another stain on her soul as it turns a solemn black.
His tone was far from welcome, coming out in one might say as witty as well as a tone given only by superiors. 'Does this fool think of himself as my superior?' she pondered on this before narrowing her eyes to look at his body posture carefully. It said nothing more than dominant, alpha and all that was better and more authoritative. She knew that she could easily kill him, she had done so many times before and without remorse. She gave a sigh, she should be grateful for the company instead of thinking of killing him thus she had to entertain this male. "Hello there, and to answer your inquiry I have come for my reasons as you have your own as well." she replied with a tone that was simply emotionless though it simply meant that she wasn't ushering him away, he had struck no passion in her no rage or hatred to give such a reaction. Was she truly turning into the monster that could strike fear due to her lack of emotions? Maybe. Maybe

A rather playful grin appeared on the dark chocolately males muzzle, along with a short and abrupt snort. Finally the snow white female spoke, her words simple but they had the certain sting that his words did, almost. Maybe this female would be a bit of fun, she seemed calm and collected but looks could be deciving to say the very least. Rayne shifted himself to the left and a few inches forward, closing the gap between the himself and the female.
And then it hit him, why not play a game to ease this tension? He was always rather great at games, always seeming to beat down his bretheren rather easily. His smooth black lips pressed together slightly and then curved into a smile, revealing a slight amout of ivory colored canines. "How about a game....?" he softly spoke, just a bit louder than a whisper. His bushy tail began to sway back and forth, behind his well built frame.
He allowed his front paws to slide across the ground, lowering his front half, chest almost touching the earth. His tail held high, like a banner atop his rump. Without warning he lept into the air, at least five feet high, nothing spectacular but he assumed the show would begin shortly. He landed softly, closer than ever to the female, his wings opened just enough to tap the female upon the back. "Got cha!" he belted almost happily as he pivoted away from her, bounding a good few feet away.
His head lowered as he slowly walked around her frame giving himself a nice space between him self and her. His legs tense, ready to spring away at her advancement.

The winds brought a strange being to her, a young Ainion who knew not the carnage of a fruitless war, the lies and deception of one's most trusted superiors. The thoughts of her past profession burned and stung like an acid slowly turning her into nothing and she hated it. It made her feel so useless, it made her feel utterly hopeless and it humiliated her, branded her with some kind of madness. It was a strange madness which meant that it might not be one, not insanity biting hard at her heels but her will demanding for something better, to achieve something greater. And then it struck her, it was ambition. Ambition of another kind, not the common ones which led many wolves to slaughter just because they wanted to rule, no, it was the kind the made her need to be strong and more successful. Some part of her hated this male, envied that he probably never knew what it felt like to have ever succumbed into a berserk ever.
But something changed, the air shifted and it made her stiffen slightly. This male was up to something, something mischievous and she had no time for this at all, no time at all. And then came those smooth words slipping out from his jaws, she didn't have time for this! Not one single second at all! "A game? Then it will be a game you shall play by yourself." she replied coolly, bowing her head slightly as she contemplated this male. He was so arrogant and sure of himself that it irritated her beyond some line for some strange unknown reason as she never was one to be riled up so easily. Then he began to act ridiculous like a hyper pup, like Gravis. That young pup she took under her wing, commodore Gravis the prankster and hooligan but he was never a burden unlike this unbecoming child before her.
The sudden leap didn't surprise her but the tap on her back did, it was soft and barely noticeable but she was a commander of the Elite Guard and they had to be attuned to every part in case of attack or so thus it felt like a whack. Then he spoke as if he won, as if such a minuscule thing made him better than her. She couldn't help but snorting in disbelief as he seemed to be ready for her, like a spring or a rabbit ready to run from a fox or a coyote. But for all his enthusiasm, she was far from excited from playing and she was a warrior for Fenrir's sake not a babysitter. Lucifer mused that she was technically a babysitter due to all the childish tendencies of the Guard when they were alone with each other but this was too much and she didn't even have a name.
Irked at how irritating this was being she snarled out some cold words "As I said it is your game!" She had no time for this idiot and she spun about and stalked to another direction, towards the thin line of trees.

The reaction he recieved as waited a few feet away was definately not the one he had hoped for. Obviously, things hadn't changed much for the Ainion race, they were all stuck up their own asses. His happy expression quickly changed into disgust, his gems slowly fading to a dull murmur. His colorful eyes watched her as her mouth began to move once more, the boring drawl of her voice said it all.
Rayne let a sigh escape from between his jaws, as he directed his gaze else where. "Fine, I don't want to waste my time with a hopeless little bitch like yourself anyways...." he spat coldly. "Thanks for jumping to the real you, now I can spend my time more wisely." His gems beginning to shine brightly once more, he headed in the opposite direction.
He wouldn't charge after her like a lost puppy, no, Rayne wouldn't do such a thing. There were others out there that would accept him with open wings and when he found them, he would cherish them. He shifted his head around to gaze at the cold female once more, he'd remember her. No one can stay cold forever and Rayne was one wolf who knew that.
Ooc. And I'll leave it at that, nice first meeting, a cold one but everyone needs a cold hearted bitch in their life.
